Default 2011 ES350 Dome Lights

New owner of a Lexus and dome lights are not going on when I open driver side door. Is there a dome light switch that I might have inadvertently switched off?

Sorry for the basic question. Took a quick fly by of the owners manual and didnn't find anything quickly.

I think messing with the front interior lights will solve your problem.

Well I think this might take care of my issue. Thanks! Glad to see I'm not the only one that had this problem.

^^^^Yep, that's at least two people who can't read the manual.

Your point? I already stated that I didn't have time to look through the manual, hence the reason for asking here...

You really know how that sounds, right? You didn't have time to look, but you had time to let someone else spend the time getting an answer for you which should have taken you all of three minutes to find on your own.

The word LAZY comes to mind. Get it now

As the other supposed lazy person in this thread, if you had read the thread on my initial posting, you would see that the interior light part of the manual basically tells you little about the purpose of the little switches.

Felt like a new student receiving the manual to our "11 ES350. WOW. Same as the 2007's thickness, barely fits in the glove compartment.

Lowrideraz -

I know exactly how it sounds. It sounds like I intended it to sound. I don't have all day to read manuals, and knowing that others would have already experienced the same issue, I knew I could get a quick answer from someone that actually isn't judging others on this forum. You can crawl back into your hole now and continue reading the manual.

Nevernu -

Thanks for the information. You are the type of individual I assumed was on the forums, that would provide answers to my questions. I will continue to assume that most aren't on these forums to provide meaningless comments like lowrideraz.

Thanks again!

^^^^As someone who has contributed to members of this forum to someone who hasn't. You have a total of 5 posts and 4 of them are here. It just galls me when folks like you can't open up a manual or do a simple search on a web site. You guys insist on asking the same questions over and over again. And when someone takes you to task for it you attack their character and tell them to crawl into a hole.

If mine was a meaningless comment yours was surely a meaningless question.

I appreciate your help as well as everyone else here. I must admit that I have read the manual but find it very hard to locate some items as the manual does not explain the 'why' something functions. It just gives the "turn this on or turn this off" direction but without the explanation of the function and options for each thing.
I wish the manual was better at explaining how some of the options might be used and why one setting might be preferable to another.

Hey hypocrite! Who started attacking who by calling me lazy? I have only five posts because I have been a Lexus owner for a grand total of... 10days! I can't imagine how 'upset' you would be if I wasn't a Lexus owner and posting to the board. If you consider it 'helping' others on the board by posting your nonsense, feel free to continue. I'll direct my concerns to others that are a little more accomodating. Feel free to ignore any future posts that you deem me unworthy of asking. Make it six posts now...

The responses on this thread is indeed indicative of what is wrong with our nation today. A simply question is blown up into name calling. Really no one here is obligated to answer a question, and if we are unable to answer questions without insults, why do it at all?? To me it is just common courtesy and respect for others, something we are rapidly losing as a nation. Peace
