I actually think they look pretty good - as long as they don't stick out from the wheel wells.

Are those 19"? I think that's the biggest I'd ever go on an ES350. Anything larger and it just doesn't look right - other cars can pull off 20" or larger, but not the ES350 IMHO.

Max, thanks for posting pics and Sick, your ES is well... "sick". Thanks to the rest of you for your advice/input. The funny thing is that I have changed my mind on these wheels. While I like them, I don't love them and as I have only had car (2009 blk/blk loaded) two and a half weeks, I am just going to be patient and wait for something I love. Once I make final decision, I will post pics.

good decision... it took me well over a year to finally come across rims that i loved and were in my price budget. i lowered my car at 30,000 miles... and i finally found/purchased rims at 50,000 miles. im at 75,000 and i still have no regrets or second thoughts about my decision. take your time, do your research, do it once and do it right. you'll be happier with the outcomes instead of selling your rims after a couple of weeks.

also a side note about rims... expensive light weight rims tend to get F-ed up more often than the cheaper heavier rims... light weight = less metal overall... forged rims are strong pound for pound than cast rims, but since forged rims are stronger manufacturers put in less metal in the building process making them light weight, but still a gamble on if they'll hold up. this is just some advice and opinions i have gathered through my rim searching experience.

some tips to consider:
expect your rims to depreciate quickly in value when you buy them... so expecting to sell them back at the same price or a high price is a long shot....

rims will ultimately get f-ed up on a daily driver.. (i got curb rash.. and a few dents) repairs will add up if you decide to repair them each time. bent rims are also inevitable (thankfully i havent had to deal with that... goes back to what i said about the building process)

measure everything out and trust your judgement. stock specs are online somewhere and so are how to guides on figuring out offsets, correct tire size etc. improper fitment can make the most beautiful rim look horrible.

if you plan on long term rim use, factor in the cost of the tires. typically the odd numbers are more expensive for rubber.. 17",19", 21"(not a recommended size btw...) than the 18" 20" tires.

expect ride quality to change... as well as gas mileage.. diameter of the overall set up, and weight will affect the gas mileage. as stated in the first page, side wall will affect the ride quality. if you go staggered as i did, your front tires will wear out significantly quicker than your rears..

make sure you love it. forget the haters who tell you otherwise. if you love it, that is what matters.

i am buying a set of TSW Zolder 19's staggered this weekend... they are classy, yet functional.

Can I put 16 inch or as low as 15 inch rims on a 2009 Lexus ES 350? I do about a 150,000 kms per year volunteering driving for the Cancer Society, So I replace tires every 5-6 months. As you can imagine going down in tire size would be a huge savings for me. I'm aware that each inch I reduce rim size I must add 5 series points to the tire to keep the speedometer accurate. Just wondering what the lowest possible rim reduction would be on the factory hub and brakes.
