Default Footwell lighting

Is there anyway to keep the footwell lighting bright while the car is in drive. Looks good when in park, however, is dim and faded when car is switched to drive.

I'm sure Lexus designed it that way so it would not be a distraction. However, there is a probably a small circuit somewhere that dims the light when the car is placed in drive. I would check with the Lexus dealer to see if this feature can be overridden, don't be surprised if they say it's a safety issue.

If you are not into cutting wires, i would suggest LexPaul idea. This summer, i'm putting my own lighting system comprise of a wireless remote to control the interior lighting, don't want to mess with the car wiring.

I may need to feed a continuous power wire to the lamp to keep it on all the time.
