Why are there so few Ultra luxury equipped cars?
I'm in the market for a 2009-2012 es 350 ultra luxury package. I can only find 4 cars equipped with the luxury package, mark Levinson, and less than 120k miles nation wide.
Why is the market so empty? It's way easier to find a ultra luxury LS.
Price window looks to be $11k-20k with mileage range of 118k-24k.
Also, I have only found one luxury with saddle leather option nation wide. Is this a rare gem?

I had a similar experience while shopping for my 2011 Ultra premium in Canada. I was looking for white on tan. At the time of my search there were only 4 cars in all of Canada which were 2010+ and ultra premium and none with tan.I think 2-3 cars 2007-2010 (pre facelift). I bought my car the very day it was listed - it was the only one in the country with ultra premium + white + tan. My assumption is that the price increase at the time for the ultra premium package would put it into the GS territory.

They were pricey and I think dealers didn't stock them.

In the Central Area USA dealer group the UL was not one of the commonly built configurations.
Anything was available by Special Order but that meant 16 weeks! I special ordered my 2014
ES300h four (4) months before my lease matured and then S.O. our 2018 with a similar lead
time. If they are not in stock and you work that hard to get one stands to reason that you would
also keep it a bit longer...all leading to fewer available as used now. Shame also because you
really get a lot of nice stuff for the money, seat extender and softer leather being our favorites.
Side shades, passenger side memory seats and the ML stereo are nice too.

True. Currently I'm looking to get 2016+ 300h and Ultra's are nowhere.

I want the 2012 es due to it being a big leap over the previous generation and it was the last Japanese produced es in the USA. I don't count the hybrid even though it's made in Japan still.

This category entry luxary is basically aimed at ppl that were looking at xle/v6 camrys and such. Hey look for only 5k more I can get a ES! But now throw on another 10k and at that point unless you really like the ES most ppl are going to say F that for that I can just get a GS or a RX. Also factor in dealers know all this so there not going to request many of these. Makes for a great find on the used car market but most people will just notice the panoramic roof. My base Es has the passengers side seat memory and the drivers side seat extender besides the roof/nicer wheels not much more to justify the price jump.

2016 was the first year they started building ES350's in KY. That said, people are still finding some 2019 350's built in Japan on dealer lots. Not many, though.

Are you saying you have a pano roof on your base 5th gen ES? Also, seat extender and passenger memory? If so, it's not a base model.

Last Gen 2018 ES350's were available with the Panorama Roof and increased "18 wheel allocation so you
will see quite a few more that initially appear to be UL but don't have the ML or semi-aniline leather/extender/memory.

And since we're going off topic, there have been a couple non UL's showing up with ML and no nav.
