I am doing research on the internet trying to determine the options I want on a 2011 ES 350. Essentially, I want everything. The Car and Driver, Road and Track, and Motor Trend websites allow you to build the car to your specs so that you know in advance what the pricing will be both MSRP and Invoice.

The problem is, when I select the VN (Navigation and Mark Levinson) and UL (Ultra Luxury) options, the PS (Pre-collision/Dynamic Radar Cruise Control) option cannot be selected. It would seem that it is unavailable when you select navigation in any form. I am speculating that the two devices would conflict with each other, but I don't know. The confusing thing is, on the Consumer Reports site, you can purchase a report that outlines all of the options, but their site says that in order to get the PS package you MUST have either the HID headlamps OR the Ultra Luxury Package.

I have checked inventory in the entire South Florida Area, and while there are several vehicles that have both UL and VN, none of them has the pre-collision/dynamic cruise control.

Can anyone provide insight on this?

You might check on the Lexus website and try to build a car with all of those features. Around here only select packages are readily avialable, anything different would have to be special ordered or found and transferred from another dealer.

From what I've seen on various sites (e.g., Edmunds and Lexus' site), the PCS & radar cruise package isn't available with the ML/Nav package (East Coast region). It's most likely a marketing issue, not a technical one, so you can probably special-order the car with all the features you want.

Thank you both for your response. All of these items are available by special order, regardless of location. I am going about negotiating the best price I can get before I order. Delivery takes 90-120 days.

On my IS350 I have Navigation and Pre-collision. No ML.

But if I may, I'd like to advise that if you cannot get both, to forgo the ML. That PC came into use in the nick of time. It's absolutely amazing what happened when it went into effect. The car saved my life. It did it's job, and I did NOT get into an accident or hurt from the ordeal. From that point on, I realized how important this feature is. I'm very saddened that for next years offerings, it will not be an option for my model.
