Default Never noticed this before...2011 ES350...

When I was driving today I put the radio on and had to manually hit the MAP button
on the Navigation to get it from the radio 'view' to the MAP. Never noticed that before,,,
Can anyone speak to this? Thanks!

It's in Setup in the Navigation Manual. Check that the Auto Screen Change selection is on "Auto". Page 294 in the Navigation Manual.

Thanks, but I still don't understand how/why I have never noticed it before.

Was the car just at the dealer? I had a couple of setting changes once after the car had been serviced at the dealer. They are supposed to careful about not making changes to the customer's car but you know what sometimes happens.

Yes, my car has Nav. The MAP screen comes up after startup. When I select Audio or Climate, for example, the respective display flips back to the MAP screen after about 20 seconds. This is because the setting is "Auto" in the Setup, as I explained above.
