Check the owners manual for what Lexus recommends, I have a 2001 GS430 and only use synthetic oil in my car always, and it cost between 70 and 85 bucks for the change. I always check for coupons first..lol

No, your 2007 ES350 does not need synthetic. It came from the factory with conventional oil and that's what Lexus recommends. Synthetic is a personal choice.

As others have said, Pep Boys is incorrect. Dino is fine, your choice.

$90 from a Pep Boys seems kind of high. The Lexus dealer near me charges $50 for a dino oil & filter change and $89 for synthetic. I alternate between them and an indy shop.

What does pep boys think they are? A dealer? A Lexus dealer will do the same change for less money. They are clearly employing clueless idiots, as most crappy lube chains do, so please do your car a favor and avoid them all. Price out a Toyota dealer. Chances are they will do the sny change for like $75 or a regular change for $45.

I wouldn't let Pep Boys check my air pressure let alone do an oil change. To me, the point of going to somewhere other than the dealer for an oil change would be to save money - sounds like that isn't quite the case.

At least if you take it to the dealer and have them charge you about $50 for dino oil, you'll at least get a Toyota filter and everytime I've gone they've washed and vacuumed the car.

FWIW - have you seen the monkeys that work at Pep Boys or even any of the quick lube places? Most are careless idiots.

Incorrect. Always, always, always check your brake fluid reservoir to make sure they didn't put the wrong fluid in it. It will appear as a different color. Quick lube places are notorious for this. Unfortunately, it happened at a Lexus dealership and Toyota. Lexus had the pleasure of spending thousands to replace the entire braking system. I caught it upon inspection at Toyota. They had to bleed the system. It happens more than you think. ALWAYS check.

First time was transmission fluid. Second was power steering fluid. It was a royal pain in the butt.
