There is nothing wrong about making a "little bit of profit" of many sales than trying to bag a large profit off a few. I think they call it cash flow.

How come some people get the extended warranty up to 125K and some get 100K? I'm interested in getting 125K. Does anybody knows?

The warranties are quoted with miles and time. So if you have 40,000 miles on your car after 4 years (10,000 miles per year), and you extend your warranty for another 4 years, you wouldn't need a 4 year/125,000 miles warranty. A 4 year/75,000 or 100,000 would be all you would need, since you would only accumulate approximately 40,000 more miles in the 4 year period (assuming you continue to drive the same number of miles that you've driven up to that point). A 4 year/100,000 mile warranty costs less than a 4 year/125,000 mile warranty. So you'd save money by getting the lower mileage warranty. Conversely, if you drive 15,000 miles per year, you'd want the 4year/125,000 miles warranty if you wanted to be covered for a full 4 years.

Quick question about the extended warranty.

I bought a used Lexus from a toyota dealer and do not have access to the
old maintenance records. Would that be a an issue if i were to exercise the
extended warranty ?

I'm wondering the same thing, to get an extended warranty based on my driving profile, I will have approx. 30K miles after 6 years, I have a 2009. Probably wouldn't do me much good to spend the extra cash. ...

I emailed Jerry Johnson....received prompt reply and a phone call. He sold me a Lexus brand ext warranty at a very reasonable price. I recommend him highly -- professional customer treatment and also you can save a bundle.

Paid about $1,200 9/09 for mine while my 2007 was still under factory warranty. Good until 10/1/2013 zero deductible. My passenger side window fell out last month out of warranty and this would have cost me $500 out of pocket to fix / replace.

Already used $500 worth of the $1,200 paid out in a passenger door glass repair that would have come out of my pocket as the '07 is out of factory warranty.

He says you have up until 4 yrs or 50k miles from original date put in service to buy it, MA dealer says "have to buy it at time of purchase". Jerry says this covers our 2008 RX400h certified preowned, MA dealer says "his prices CAN'T be for a used Lexus". I like Jerry and I believe him. He is selling us 6yr/100k zero deductible warranty for $1590. This compares to the dealer's quote of $1650 for 5/100k. Each vehicle has a slightly different cost so be aware that quotes mentioned in here may not pertain to another Lexus model. Jerry has lots of options for years and miles of coverage. I'd give him a call: 800-530-5789. Thanks again.
I just purchased the Platinum $0 deductible 100K warranty for my 2007 ES350 from Jerry Johnson for $1665 (listed on lexusfinancial.com for $2,325). The original 4 year warranty was due to expire in 2 weeks, the car has 39K miles. It was quite pleasant to deal with Jerry, just called the 800 number and asked to speak to Jerry Johnson.

Based on the information at http://www.lexusfinancial.com/consum...g&carSelected= I'd say no. Can't hurt for you to call and try anyways.

I just bought my 07 ES350 and read about the extended warrenty here and did some research. I was able to pick up a 96 month/160,000km Lexus ECP at my local Lexus dealer for <cough $$ cough>; the ES350 was just at the <4 yr/ <80,000km point.
I felt I got a cream puff at a good price, I don't drive high milage any more and expect to keep the car until its 10-11 year point at least so thought the additional warrenty was a good "investment". /And given my investment history over the years, the car will not have one single fault until the ECP runs out in 4 years

Thanks for the thread.
