Hey I just got my ES 350 Ultra Luxury addition with the glass roof and really like the way the shark fin antenna looks on the new model and was wondering the best way I can add it onto my car. I called the dealer and they wanted $300 for the part and all I want is for the cosmetic value and no actual function from it. Any other ideas? I looked on ebay too but the products there dont look as nice as the Lexus factory one on the 2010's.

Now that's a strange request but I almost agree they do look good. I understand that they won't work on the glass top but if the dealer will let you at least see if would match up you could decide how much it is worth to you to have a sharks fin. I don't think you'll find the right look anywhere else.

From my understanding, the OEM Lexus sharkfin antennas (on any Lexus sedan model) mounts using nut(s) and washer(s). That means that a hole must be drilled through the glass (for ES350 UL packages) or through the sheet metal roof tops in order to be mounted. The bottom of the OEM Lexus sharkfin antennas have a mounting "bolt" that protrudes past the base of the antenna. Furthermore, you'll need to remove your headliner for installation.

On 3 previous cars now, including my ES350 UL, i have purchased the colored match sharkfin antenna from Visual Garage (www.visualgarage.com) to cover up the factory roof mounted sail antenna.

For my ES350 UL, I bought a black painted sharkfin antenna from Visual Garage to match the black glass panoramic sunroof and installed it in approximately in the same location as where the OEM Lexus factory antenna would be installed on the 2010 ES350 UL models that are equipped with them.

It's strictly cosmetic enhancement for my Lexus. Looks great in my opinion!
