Default Replacement tires for a 2007 ES350?

My 2007 ES350 has factory Michelins on it which will need replacing around the 25K mile mark if not a little sooner. Seems like "fast" wear to me. I sometimes go 70-75 on the freeway but most of my driving is in town.

Any recommendations for tires? I'm not looking for anything "custom" or "performance," just something that will give a quiet, comfortable ride but last longer than 22-25K miles.

I live in SoCal, so weather is not a problem.

One of my favorite tire sites. A wealth of tire info.

Cool

215 55 17 is the size you need correct? And how much do you want to spend? I'm suprised you only got 22K+ miles on the factory Michelins too.

Went through 2 sets of OEM Michelin tires in 19,000 miles. Michelin paid a portion on the second set to replace the originals that wore out in 9,000 miles. Bought the Kumho Solus tire at Tire Rack (currently on sale at $77 per tire). They ride nice and at 7,000 miles, the treadwear is not noticeable. The OEM Michelins are near $200 per tire. If these Kumho tires were to wear out in 9,000 miles, then the cost per mile would not be too bad versus the Michelins. I think I will get 20,000 miles easily on the Kumhos.

I am planning to replace the tires. Got a good 44K miles on OEM. Planning to stick to Michelin unless someone convinces me otherwise. Any recommendations on where to shop for?

I just put 4 new Michelin MXV4 Primacy tires on my 2007 ES350 about 2 weeks ago. They are remarkable. They're whisper quiet and hold the road very well. They have a 60,000 mile warranty. I paid $695.00 OTD for all four. I'm very happy with these tires. My OEM MXV4 Energy tires only lasted 25,000 miles - very disappointng.

Are the Primacy much quieter than the Energy tires? That could be good news if so.

The Bridgestone Serenity is a great tire also, very quiet good handling. My wife loves them and I've been impressed. The Tire Rack survey rates them a little quieter than the Primacy but both are quiet.

I didn't find the Energy tires to be all that loud. But, I notice that everytime I drive the car how quiet the tires are. Honestly, I can't remember driving on tires as quiet as these. The 60,000 mile warranty is a real plus.

I have serious problem, I just get ES 350 2009 Ultra-Luxury, 10 spoke -wheels 215/55 R17, my car is not soft at all, I feel any smallest bump on the road.
When I took a drive test on ES-350 it was unbelievable soft driving. Now absolutely
different.
What do you think guys, may be because Ultra-luxury different suspension, wheels or something else.

Check the tire pressures. A lot of dealers deliver the car with very high tire pressure. Should be 32 cold.
If that is not it, take it to the dealer and have them check it out. The suspension on an Ultra is no different from other ES's and should be very smooth. A lot of cars that are shipped from Japan have spacers inserted into the coil springs for shipment. They minimize movement and make it easier to secure the car for shipment. They are suposed to be removed in the dealer prep but sometimes they forget to do that. Can't say for sure if Lexus uses them, but it is worth having it checked out.

You know, asking the question once or twice is fine, but five times in four threads is just a bit much

I did answer you in one of those threads
