A Peek at the '10 Camry revealed a satellite antenna wart on the roof. That would most certainly be welcome, as the cheap aftermarket-looking antenna provided in the XM radio kit is ridiculous...

Other changes of note include a VSC cutoff switch, ECO indicator, Bluetooth, iPod/USB inputs, and Safety Connect, plus a revised nav with the new Enform telematics system."

Cool Fact: "Primo ES 350 options include Mark Levinson audio, the Pre-Collision System, Intuitive Park Assist, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control."

Sum Up: "How to pay too much for a gussied-up Camry."

2 out of a possible 5 star rating.
The "gussied up Camry" comment is rediculous and proves Motor Trend knows little about the ES. If they took the time to test one, they'd see the two cars are different in character, dynamics, and styling. It's okay to bash the ES for it's soft handling, but the Camry association is an out-dated train of thought that was once the case but no longer. I just lost some respect for the mag.

As much as I like my car (new in 4/06) I've always thought the ES is a decent value up to $38k-$40k when new. It's been problem free in that length of time.

Once you get over $40k there are a lot of other interesting choices and maybe not such a great value.

Would I buy another one? Probably, unless something else caught my eye.

This thread is really worthless without pictures. Did Motor Trend actually test the 2010 ES or are they just guessing based on a fact sheet? If they did test it, where are the pictures?

I haven't seen any road test reports for the 2010 ES period to this point (and I keep checking). There are no major suspension tweaks or powertrain changes so the car should essentially drive the same as the 07 - 09 models.

One of the main new competitors now will be the all new 2010 Buick LaCrosse / Allure (in Canada).

I saw the LaCrosse/Allure at the Chicago Auto Show in Feb. Nice looking car inside and out IMO. It should do well, unless buyers shy away from buying a 1st year model from GM with their recent troubles

AWD - standard remote start - standard satellite radio - 100,000 mile powertrain warranty - ES350 looks = will give a strong look / evaluation prior to my lease runout 10/1/09. It's a Buick but lets face it, ES350 has a Camry heritage and mine stilll has that annoying cold engine tick at 28,000 miles.

Cool

I agree the Buick brings quite a bit to the table....I usually buy my vehicles two years old with service records (1 owner) so the depreciation will be much greater.....that means a better deal.

Haven't seen it in person yet...but the pics look promising.

There is no 2010 model yet so there can't be any tests. They were referring to the previous years.

No reports yet because the 2010 model does not exist (yet).

Actually the 2010 is being built as we speak....they started production earlier this month....but I doubt any of the major auto mags will go to Japan to road test is since it's only a mid cycle refresh.

Yup. Probably won't get much more than a line mention in various magazines "What's new for 2010" sections.
