Ok so im looking for info here from anyone who has replaced there oem wiper blades with an aftermarket brand
i got my Micheline blades today and i see there are 3 attachemnts i have to choose from beside the one thats already on the car
do i need to pick one of these ?
i don't think so from the way none of them will attach to the wiper arm

but when i just slide the new blade onto the wiper arm with a little force i hear a click so i know its locked in place but there is nothing to latch down or anything to support it staying locked in place like i had it on hi speed and it's not comming off or anything but if i pull on it it just comes right off
i thought i remember with any other car i would at-least have to push or little snap somewhere to get them to come off but is this safe ?
like no saftey lock or anything on the wiper blade

I have decided i am just going to sent the Michelins back and get the OEM insert i called the toyota dealer up they told me they have no way to look up the parts for a lexus unless i have the part number from toyota
so i asked himt o just look up the price of the camry blades inserts
they are 8 for passanger and 9 for driver side

does anyone know for sure if these are the same on the ES ?

dude, they're wipers. Go to advance or autozone and they'll put them in for you. It's not rocket science at all.

your not understanding what im saying
im not asking how to put them on im asking if it's normal for them to just come out like there is no saftey on them when they are on if they are at high speed they could just fall off

im asking because there is no saftely latch like the latch you have to pull up to get the OEM blades off nothing on there to sercure the new one

thats what im asking
i know how to put freaking wiper blades on

i asked if its normal for them to just come right off like they do

but i am no dummby i know how to install wiper blades i have been doing it for 15 years on all my cars
this is just different than any other car i have had
and they are different then the oem blades

i mean like the actualy flip up lock latch on the oem blades that sexure the blades onto the arms

the Aftermarket ones are not having those
and i can clip the after market blades on the wiper arms and then snapp them into place but

They don't stay locked in
i am asking are the blades bassicaly deffective or am i missing something

im not asking for a comment like go to auto zone or something like that im not dumb
im a college student with a 4.0 and i know how to put blades on lol

i am just asking if anyone els has had this issue with there blades

but i have decided to say the hell with it i just called the yota dealer up and asked the parts guy if he could find the part number for me for the wiper blades he said give him a minute he looked them up with the help of someone and found me the right inserts of the lexus

since they can't pull up and hes charign me 10 bucks each

It sounds like that was the best thing for you to do.

You're certainly having problems with the wiper blade issue. Usually you just put new blades choice on and hit the road until they are due for changing again.

Just go to your local Walmart, pick up a set of their wiper blades (Anco, Bosch etc), put them on and swear off inserts.
