Default Nailing down certain 2007 paint codes

According to documentation, the 2007 ES350 was released in Blue Onyx, Black Onyx and Crystal White... and then those colors were switched to Black Sapphire, Obsidian and Starfire Pearl. The question is if the switch happened in the middle of the model year or if the switch happened starting with 2008 model year cars.

If you have a 2007 ES in Black Sapphire, Obsidian or Starfire Pearl can you give me a shout? To check the exact color, look in the door jamb for the production label and the first three characters after C/TR will be the paint code:

Black Onyx: 202
Obsidian: 212

Blue Onyx Pearl: 8P8
Black Sapphire Pearl: 8U0

Crystal White: 062
Starfire Pearl: 077

Thanks guys!

It's been five years since I posted that... but I never got an answer so thank you!

Anyone else that has a 2007 ES, can you please chime in so I can settle this? Thanks!

I think this is the first time I've ever seen a post that old get revived and the original OP chiming in after. Pretty amazing

Well, I have been a steadily-posting member for ten years on here. Now if only some 2007 ES owners will read this and help out!

My 2007 Ultra was purchased in 10/2006 and was listed as Black Sapphire Pearl. If that helps......

Hmmm... when it was purchased and when it was built are two separate things. If you still have the car, can you check the driver's door jamb for the production month and year?

Car was traded in 10/2011. I had to wait for it to come in off the the boat on west coast and then transfer over to east coast. Because it was an Ultra in that color. Purchased early October, soon as it came in it was cleaned up and delivered to us. Probably August build date. One of the early ones with transmission issues.
