Exclamation Low Oil pressure warning after Lexus service

I just had my ES 350 serviced by a Lexus dealer in the central fl area a month ago (1000) miles. I was on the highway and my Low Engine Oil warning light came on. So at the next exit I got off I noticed that my engine sounded horrible possibly nocking! so i pulled in to the first parking lot by that time the low oil pressure light was on. I shut the car off as quick as i could and smoke was coming out of the hood. i got out of the car and noticed that the right side of my car was covered in oil as was the trunk of the car. still waiting to hear what the dealer finds as the cause of the problem. I am new to this forum wanting to know if others have heard of this problem, if they think the engine is shot, and if they think the dealer is at fault for a problem like this right after service?

1 month and 1,000 miles is awhile since the dealer serviced your car. I assume you mean oil change. If they had screwed up, I would have expected a problem to surface before this. Did you run over anything? It sounds like you may have punctured something to have oil spraying over everything. From what you have described, it does sound like the engine was run dry and it may be toast. Let us know what the sealer says.

Good Luck!

I had the same thing happen to me, easy for them to fix the leak, not so easy to clean up the damm car.

I was so fed up with the car that day that I bought a different brand car the same day the lexus got towed.
Since getting the lexus back I have driven it 2 times in the last 2 moths or so, Im giving the car back in another few weeks.

MAKE SURE they clean under the car, mine dripped in my driveway even after I made them clean it 2 times, thats when I just gave up and got disgusted.
