The Lexus ES350 is one nice car but I must say it is a little boring to drive. My friend says keep the Lexus you will be visiting the dealer often with The BMW.

Your friend is right. Bimmers can be a maintenance nightmare especially out of warranty. The ES350 has a lot of parts in common with the Camry making replacements cheaper and easier to find. I have to agree with you though I would really like a 335i but I needed a more family friendly car and of course cost was a concern.

I went Lexus this time, but may go BMW next time. White coupe with red interior......OW!
But seriously, I'm grateful to have chosen the ES every day when I commute home from work in heavy traffic. Just wind down and turn on some smooth music...

If you want performance and quality/dependability consider the Lexus IS 350. I did and could not be happier.

the age old debate--- as I passed over 40 3 years ago i went from MAxima SE 99 which handled gr8! to the ES 350 UL...
I love it but if you want a sports car buy one--350 is not a sports car.- I learned that the first time i took a turn off on a high way at speed and the brakes depressed automatically for me!
Lexus GS or IS or BMW/MErcedes, infiniti or TL acura sort of a combo..
For me luvin the comfort of the smooth ride and the ML stereo...
g'luck!

Which to choose? What do you value in a sedan, room and comfort or sportiness? Anyone who loves the 335i probably would not be shopping an ES350 since the two cars are so different in purpose.
Would I select a 335i over an IS350? Absolutely! But, I would select the G37 over either.

I own a '08 335cic, a '08 IS350 and a '08 ES350 and by far the BMW is the better drivers car. Had an '07 e90 335i also before the ES350. The TT inline 6 has so much torque down low - lovely.

You wouldn't think the 335i is a hands down winner if you had to ride in the back seat. It is almost a small as an IS350. The 335i is also noiser on the interstate and has a less comfortable ride.

I have to agree with those who basically, say do your homework before you shop (a test drive should have made this apparent). The ES 350 is designed for superior ride quality and it's second to none in this regard. Those who prefer the Bimmer stiff ride should not even look at a 350. Too bad you got stuck with a car that doesn't 'do it for you'. I never really understood why the 'sporty ride' is the gold standard when cars are compared. Maybe we just took a 'page' from Europe and got stuck on 'stiff'. A lot depends on one's driving habits. If you have a lead foot, then you probably want the stiff Bimmer ride to keep everything 'together' while you're hitting that corner going 40 mph. . Give me a smooth 'riding on air' ride any day....hands down, but that's my 'preference', and the beauty of 'diversity'.....Cheers!!
