Where is the AFS off switch?

Question Where is the AFS off switch?
In the 2008 ES350 owner manual, there is a picture of an AFS OFF switch (to turn off the Adaptive Front Lighting system) which is located at the knee dash area above your right knee (on the right side of the steering column). However, the switch is not there when I look for it in my car which has the AFS w/ HID lamp option.

The switch is up underneath the dash, to the right of the steering column and the amber LED light for the footwell. It's best to stick your head under the dash to see it. Good luck.

Thank you!....I found it.

The manual has the picture that shows the AFS OFF switch at the same level as the trunk release / gas cap switches (but on the other side of the steering column). No wonder I couldn't see them when they are actually hidden below the dash.

No, I don't want to turn AFS off...I just want to know where the button is....

i wonder how hard it would it be to pop out that foot light and switch it to a white LED bulb.. =?

What is the button right next to the AFS switch. I have not yet figured that out or found in the voluminous manual?

Guys, thanks for the help. The switch was right where you described, to the right of the steering wheel, just out of sight.

The other switch is to reset the tire pressure warning light on your dash, should one of your tires loose too much pressure.

yeah if the buttosn not there and theres not a plug thats missing a connection than safe to say you dont have it also i don/t kknow if you can get afs without hid i don/t think there was the optiion

Does anyone recommend turning off the AFS in the extreme cold winter months ? I.e. so there are no moving parts to be broken when the temperature hits -5 F to -22F (-15C to -30C) here in Canada?

No. If it were recommended, that'd be in the owner's manual.
