Default "acid rain"

Just bought a new 350 with full glass roof and noticed "water spots" that aren't coming off. There on all the glass. Side mirrors also. Noticed those during night driving with headlights reflecting. Very annoying. Dealer has been attempting to remove but has been unsuccessful. Any info on this issue would be helpful. Understand car came through port of Jacksonville.

That is interesting. I have the UL package myself and never had this issue. Have they tried contacting a professional detail shop? Might need to vend it out to a 3rd party.

I would try to clay bar the spots on the car and the glass - That should work if they are hard water spots or irrigation water spots but if they are truly acid rain it won't help. I'm suprised the dealer even let the car go out like that and if he did I would want a buyback rather than a repaint.

I highly doubt it was caused by acid rain.

We have very very very hard water down here in Phoenix. I have to dry the car within 5 minutes or the hard water will dry and can actually etch into the glass/paint.

I've had to use my circular and Menzerna Power Gloss to get some water spots out, but they will come out.

After you get them off the glass, protect the glass with Rain-X. It helps with the water spots.
