OK, I'm itching to do this but I don't want to be first. Please post if you do this and let us know. I am excited! Sonartech, have you done this and will you?

I did Sonartech's HOW TO on a 2007 ES350 and it works perfectly. Besides being very smart Sonartech is a master at explaining things and writing a very clear and concise step by step description on how to do something.

Sorry Jerfitz,

I was not clear. I also did Sonartech's mod and as you said it works perfectly. I was wondering about Unknown2's mod.

Regards, PETER

I didn't read through it, but if I don't have the ML nav system is it the same procedure?

If your car doesn't have ML, then your car will NOT play DVDs at any time!

Sonartech,
In a post about modifying the multi display, you said:

By performing this modification, the Multi-Display Vehicle Signal Check service menu will indicate 0 MPH regardless how fast the car is actually moving. Since this modification removes the SPD signal from the Multi-Display, the Multi-Display service menu will always report 0 MPH.

I have an 08 RX350, and have removed the speed sensor wire from the multi display, and now have all Audio and Bluetooth functions while driving. Does this vehicle signal check service menu also apply to me?
Sorry.....but what is the Multi-Display Vehicle Signal Check service menu, and how do I get to it, to see if the service menu is indicating 0 MPH while moving?
Thanks in advance!...........Don

PS.....If anyone else can tell me, I'd appreciate it!

Clear enough to me. In short, you basically just 1) find right yellow wire and 2) splice one end of yellow wire into the black/white wire. Right? Pictures make it really easy to understand.

Yes, just make sure it's the correct yellow wire and the correct end to ground... Let me know if you have any questions...

abusyguy,

Here is another of SonarTech's wonderful fixes. SonarTech taught me how to do this so I wrote up what and how I did it.

Enabling the NAV System Features When Driving

To answer your question, one of these write ups describes how to do what you asked. As I remembr all you need to do is cut the ground wire (yellow, I think) to the parking brake but pleasae don't do it on my say so. Find the detailed description before you try it!

Read through Dreyfus' hack. It may have been discussed there.

How hard is it to pull these panels without damaging the trim or the clips?

I had the most trouble removing the two Heat/Air Conditioning vents in the middle of the dash board. Everything else was easy to remove. Just go slow and be careful.
