My '07 has always shifted slowly but I suspect it has something to do with the "intelligence" programming for the tranny. I normally drive conservatively but when I change driving habbits under different traffic conditions the tranny seems to behaves in line with my normal behavior. I wish there was a true sport mode to lower the throttle input required to downshift. To compensate I put the gear selector in manual and select a gear ahead of time that has the engine above 3,750 RPMs which is where the VVT-i kicks in and where the peak torque band begins.
