Default Lexus ES 350 Wish List

Only 3 that i can think of right now actually....

HID hi-beams.
Weather Radar maps morphed with my road maps so I can see where rain or other obstacles are ahead.
Traffic conditions via NAV unit. (Even more than what the LS will have this fall).

Anyone else have any ?

3 from me:
- power folding mirrors (available on Korean ES350)
- illuminated door sills (like on RX and IS)
- Radar Cruise Control and PCS system being real live options. (not just on the ES350 specification sheet!)

awd hybrid? hahaha. That'll probably persuade my dad to get one. Even though it gets slightly worse mpg than our Camry and has 100hp more, he rather have it in hybrid form (performance or not cause either way, the mpg is higher and Toyota HSD systems can achieve high mpg if the driver learns to drive it "properly")

1. Windows that went all the way down in the back
2. Lexus-Link or whatever their version of on-star is called.
3. Lane change warning system. (A sensor in the rear quarter panel that activated an audible alert when the turn signal is activated and an object is in the blind spot.)
4. More wood, like the ES330 had.
5. Switch defeat-able front air bag.
6. Switch defeat-able motion restrictions on the Nav system. It should be my choice.
7. Illuminated home link buttons.
8. Rear seat heaters and ventilation.

1) Power folding side mirrors
2) Rear windows roll down completely
3) DRL off option (as on previous generation)
4) Rear seat reading lights (love the LED spotlamps up front, should also be in back)
5) HID high beams
6) Illuminated door sils and overhead buttons (sunroof, homelink)
7) Rain-sensing wipers should be standard equipment by now
8) LED taillights
9) Better front license plate mount- standard issue looks cheap. BMW's paint-matching mounts integrate very well on the front end.
10) Wider tires- perhaps 235's

Regarding #4 (rear seat reading lights), we just turn on the interior LED's. The light in front are so dim that they are not bothersome to the driver. The ones in rear are significantly brighter and allow my children to read with no problem. I have 3 readers and they enjoy this feature as much as anything else on the car.

I do enjoy the interior lighting. I wish they would automatically go off when you lock the car though. Supposedly they stay on for 20 minutes if you don't manually shut them off.

- Better interior lighting for when you get in or out of the car or want to read a map.
- Blinker arrows in the side mirrors.
- Work around for passengr to use NAV while driving. Link it to passenger airbag if you must.

For #9, you can have the license plate mount painted by a reputable body shop. If the shop is good, it will match and be durable. I really love mine!

1: Easy on/off switch for speed lockouts of nav, audio, and phone functions.
2. Illuminated overhead console.
3. All dealer-only personalized settings should be updatable by the user. Why should we pay?
4. Replacement storage bin drop-in for ash tray/lighter combination.
5. Move the seat heat/ventilation controls forward so they're easier to see.
6. Better iPod integration (like the VaisTech unit) without having to go through a third party.
7. Heated steering wheel.
8. Seat memory setting buttons shouldn't have speed lock outs (What's up with that?).
9. Adjustable rear view mirror auto dimming. I'd like more aggressive dimming on mine.
10. Passenger airbag on/off switch.
11. Swap the MAP/VOICE button location with the DISPLAY button location.
12. Make the sunglass holder deeper. My sunglasses don't fit in it.
13. Add rear seat reading lights.
14. Turn inside trunk handle the other way around. Curving forward is awkward to grasp.
15. Make the whole car a bit smaller (but not like the IS350!). It feels a little too large for me.
16. Drop the useless Current MPG meter (the bar that shows mpg from 0 to 90).

These are more or less in order of importance for me. All are easily and cheaply changed (except for #15).

Even with these peeves I love my ES350! It has a great combination of features, style and performance at a reasonable price. To think I almost bought a TL....

10. Passenger airbag on/off switch.
This is done automatically on your car. When you have a passenger it turns on the airbag because of their weight on the seat.

***10) Wider tires- perhaps 235's***

Amen to that!

This car is SERIOUSLY undertired!

More rubber on the road would give it much more cornering security and all aroud better handling.

215's on a car like this are a joke.
