AM Radio problems with new 350
I just took possession this week of my ES 350 Premium Plus with Nav and am really disappointed in the AM Radio reception. I like to listen to talk radio and there is way to much static on all the stations in my area. I did not have that problem with my 2005 ES 330. I haven't read any other complaints regarding this issue and wonder if mine is unique. I plan to have it checked at my 5000 mile service. Anyone else have this problem or maybe knows of a fix? Thanks...

AM radio still exists???
Does your vehicle have Sattellite radio? If so, you should check it out. There are a lot of good talk stations on either platform that include a variety of themes and issues. I think that the networks have all but given up on AM. FM just recently went to HD to try to sell themselves and pretend like there is some kind of innovation. AM really has not had an advancement in years.
I am interested to hear feedback about FM/AM reception though. Our previous ES had decent FM reception with the antenna built-in like the current.
In other news, I'm taking delivery tomorrow morning!

Thanks, for the reply. I do have satelite radio (XM) but it doesn't carry the local talk show from 6:00 Am to 10:00 AM or the two syndicated ones I listen to from 10:00 AM to 3:OO PM. After that I'm covered by XM Radio. BTW, Sirius doesn't carry the above two shows either.

I'm thinking it may be something similar as well. The only difference between now and then is the car. Hopefully it's an easy fix, as I really do enjoy my AM shows.

I have noticed that am and fm do not come in as well as my TL. Certain channels come in better on am but for the most part all are a little worse. I think Lexus went cheap on this car.

I haven't noticed any difference in reception between my ES350 and any other of my previous or current cars with external antennas.

I have no problems with AM reception on my ML radio. Even though the fidelity doesn't compare to the FM or Satellite bands, it's the only place I can get up to the minute newscasts and talk radio in the New York City area.

Same...
I am a regular AM talk show listener as well, and I would say the reception is no better / no worse than my previous car (Acura). I would have that looked in to at your 5k, like you're planning.
