Windshield wipers too high

I posed the question last week to Lexus Corporation as to the differences between the Owners Manuals between US and Canadian models, and if there are differences between the wiper arms mechanical linkage. I personally don't feel there is, but I want to hear it from the horses mouth. I got a call this evening from Lexus, and they're asking the manufacturer about this. I'll report back when I find out.

I bet this wiper arm two position setting is the same as in the prior generation ES, of which we own two. I believe that it is described in the owner's manual for our cars in the section describing how to change the wiper blade, since you cannot bend the arm away from the car when the blade parks in the lowest position (it will make contact with the hood).
Agree that this is also very handy in snowy climates to pull the wiper arm up a bit in order to clear the snow that accumulates at the edge of the hood nearest the front windshield, which is where fresh air is sucked into the cabin of the car. Makes sense to clear this area to decrease moisture being pulled into the cabin, in addition to dealing with the wiper blade freezing to the windshield issue.
I grab the wiper arm with both hands at the point where the wiper arm attaches to the wiper blade assembly, so I can control the movement. It requires quite a bit of force. Do not grab the wiper blade only, since then the force will excessively torque the attachment of the wiper blade to the wiper arm.

Hi. Have the same concern/problem with wiper blades. However, my manual doesn't mention anything about it on page 150. My page 150 mentions snow chain installation, with a large caution box about driving with snow tires & chains. The manual is for the 2007 ES350, pub # OM33685U, part # 01999-33685. I can't locate any date on the manual. Alien

My manual is like yours, no mention of wipers. It looks like they forgot to print it on early editions the same way they manufactured the car the first few months ( as you have read in this forum).

I'll try to scan it later and post it.
