Yeah, I'm late
I'm probably the last person on the board to share their experience with the new ES 350, so please bear with me.
Last Wednesday, I went to check out the new Lexus ES 350 in person, after having followed all the press releases, etc. It just made its debut here just two weeks ago. At first sight, I was very impressed to say the least...the pictures certainly did the car no justice. An even better paint job, higher grade build quality and a very generous list of standard features. In our market, two models are available, both are loaded. The only difference between the two is one has GSP navigation whilst the other doesn't. Also, the panoramic sunroof option isn't available in this market. Instead, the car comes with a standard sunroof.
Anyway, friend of mine had his delivered the other day and I got to drive it. The first ES I drove was an '02 and what a difference. Not only is it more refined and more comfortable, but it was unbeleiveably silent. At one point, I even wondered if the engine was even running. I didn't do any WOT runs or anything like that, so I'm not aware of its limitations. But it was just as enjoyable to drive. Congratulations to all our new ES 350 owners on the board, great choice to say the least.
