Was that your silver parked next to my black at church Sunday morning? I saw a white one at the intersection of Ross and Waterman the other day. We all notice each other!

I haven't been back to the dealer since my purchase. I have been waiting for the Sirius Satellite radio installation kit to become available. According to the thread on this board I may be waiting a long time.

Yeah, that was us. I knew there was a black car next to us but I thought it was another make of car. You go to St. Mary's then, right?

I installed the XM tuner in our car a couple of weeks ago and it works great. I saw in the other forum that you had mentioned that the dealer said that there would be a module of some sort installed at the head unit for XM. That is not true. All the connections are done in the trunk area. And it is easily done. Don't pay the extra cost to have the dealer install it.

Yes, we go to St. Mary's too.

The dealer is going to install the satellite radio at no charge. That was part of the deal since we didn't get a great deal on the purchase price. Do you have the UL package? I do and I want to make sure the Satellite radio is through the NAV screen and not a little add on box on the dash. I've never had Satellite before so I'm not sure how it works.

Default Where off to San Fran

Well fellow Lexus ES350 owners we are off to San Francisco in the morning, wish us luck.
I will let you all know how the trip goes. I just need luck in dealing with 3 kids all the way up there. I figure we will have to make more pit stops than usual to keep them from attacking each other.

Default Back from SF

We had a safe trip to San Francisco. Our ES drove like a dream. I don't think I'll ever purchase another vehicle without NAV system. That worked like a charm. I loved the most was the gas mileage. We averaged 27 mpg. Oh and we got to open it up on the flat straight roads. We got it up to 120 then backed off after thinking to myself, "What the hell am I doing?" It was steady and smooth. It had plenty of power left in it but didn't want to risk the cargo on board no more than I already have.

Yeah, I know, that's why I backed off as soon as I realized what the heck I was doing. Needless to say but that will never happen again.

Damn that's scary!.... but it is very easy to go fast in this car. I looked down the other day and couldnt' believe I was cruising over 90.

Except one thing was missing - no paparazzi following you with video cameras.
Not that they could have kept up with you at that speed

True. My kids were in car seats too. Unlike Brittney.

The only reason i questioned you was because of this thread. I happened to read this thread first and then read your thread. It is a very sad story and everyone please keep this family in your prayers at a very difficult time in their lives. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=228914

That's the exact thought that went through my mind when I realized how fast I was going.

For those of you that sorta watch the MPG usage, did you notice any increases in MPG as the engine got a few thousand miles on it? I've never noticed any difference in my Avalon.
David...where's the trip report? How did she do?
