Default Rear Spoiler Lip

We signed the deal yesterday on a Tungsten Pearl and it should be in sometime next week. Does anyone have the rear spoiler lip? I think I saw one on an ES350 as we were leaving and I liked it. thanks.

I like it as well. But I'm wondering if the spoiler is attached to the trunk by adhesive or by drilling holes into the trunk? I prefer the former method though.

Also, does the additional weight on the trunk door affect the counterweight balance? I had a spoiler on my '03 ES and this is what bothered me most......if it was slightly windy with the trunk door open it would sometimes crash down! On a few occasions I was almost bonked on the head.

spolier looks pretty nice...hm...been thinking of getting rid of the 04 GS300 for maybe an IS350 or a ES350...IS is more sporty...but the ES looks more classy and comfortable...hm...

My spoiler came factory installed...so don't know if it is drilled or stuck on with adhesive. However, the weight of the spoiler has not upset the balance of the trunk. I'l post some pics soon of the spoiler on my silver ES.

Hmmm......I doubt that the spoiler was factory installed since a spoiler is generally a dealer installed option.
I've been a Lexus owner since 1990 and was told this by the Lexus Corporation.

My spoiler is factory installed. It even shows up on the Monroney Sticker as factory installed. My dealer also had a couple ES350s with the factory installed spoiler. I don't know what to tell you except that maybe Lexus has changed since you bought your first one.

I guess they have changed as far as installing these spoilers at the factory. I noticed in the Los Angeles area they have a package that includes a lip spoiler.......but not on the East Coast. Yup, Lexus keep changing.

hmm, don't forget the OEM spoiler comes pre-painted already, so if there's no drilling require (otherwise using mounting tape to attach on to the trunk), I see a DIY project coming! Let's organize a GROUP BUY, lol

Can you please post a picture of your factory installed spoiler? Or a link to one? Also, is it possible to get windows tinted from a dealer or do I have to get it by someone outside?

Actually did more search and found following on Autospies. Very different from that OEM spoiler...

So, how about tinting. Anybody got that for their ES350 from dealer?

damn, I got it all from here: http://www.autospies.com/article/ind...5&categoryId=1

I guess they mixed it up with other ES350 pictures (and I was wondering why all the shots with a spoiler are on a different color car LOL!!!). BTW, that review of ES350 is terrible, done by some Detroit woman reporter who definitely got off the wrong side of the bed...

BTW: The factory spoiler for the ES350 is screwed to the trunk lid. I don't know whether they also use adhesive in addition to the screws.
