Someone hit my ES 350
Now I have the impressions of someone's license plate in my rear bumper. I didn't have even 400 miles. I won't let valet park it. I will park a mile away from the nearest car. But yep, someone hit my car and took off and now you can see the frame of their license plate in my bumper.
Not only does it **** me off that people hit and run, but it also pisses me off that the bumper is so impressionable.
And I was being so careful.
Am I the first one to have damage to my new ES 350 (purchased on launch day).

I feel your pain. I would be pissed off too. Most people are so inconsiderate and don't pay attention to their own surroundings and some people just don't care. If people can't or don't want to take care of their own possesions at least be mindful of other's. The person who hit your car will get what's coming to him/her...

Sorry, but inconsiderate/idiot drivers are unfortunately the norm. Is the damage very noticable?
I was parked next to Sebring coupe this weekend. Wanted to park elsewhere, but there were no other spots. Besides, there was plenty of room. But when I returned a few hours later, there was a nice big dent / paint scrape left on my GS. Wish I would have written down the license plate number of that damn Sebring

Someone hit my ES350
My heart goes out to you. My ES 330 was scratched on the door, just a week after I had it. It was never the same car for me. I just purchased an ES 350, black on black, and love it. My only concern is parking it. My husband asked me tonight, what car do you want to take tomorrow? I said I was going to go shopping at the mall and was concerned about parking the car. In today's world, that is what you think about - what a shame.

Same thing happened to me shortly after I got my new 02 ES300; woman without insurance harpooned my rear bumper with her front license plate and left 2 perfect octagonal holes from her license plate bolts. Took it into the dealer and they had to replace the whole bumper covering...$625.

Man that really sucks Jeff!
I had a really bad first year with my ES300. Two incidents of vadalism, one major, and a rear ending on the interstate. I was definitely on a first name basis with the body shop manager.
I'm hoping history doesn't repeat itself.

On my 2002 ES, which I still have, I did have someone try to break in by breaking out the opera window. It was easily replaced. The thing about bumpers is that when they're repaired or repainted, I've seen the paint peel or come off. And that's my concern here. Yet this is noticeable.
At least I know I'm not the only one to deal with these issues. Although I may be the first with the ES 350.

I posted earlier that I had damaged my ES350 after having it only one week! Like you, I was being very careful about parking next to other cars. I pulled in to a parking spot next to a curb and scraped the bottom and part of the side front bumper skirting. My ES350 is black with black interior. (which I love) The scrape from the curb left a bunch of white scratches. Took it to two body shops. The first was going to take off the bumper, strip the paint and repaint. Quoted $535.00. My husband said no way to taking the bumper off. The second shop said they could spot fix it and it would be as good as new. $125.00. They did a great job. It looks brand new.
