Not LED
They're not LED. I've seen them on road and they don't light up instantly like LED, so would presume they're regular filiment bulbs. That's why I'm going to wait until mid cycle, they'll probably give the ES350 LED lights, along with some minor changes.

He meant midcycle of the life of the same model(i.e. if they keep the es350 unchanged for 7 years then maybe by 2010 they might put led's on, I personally think they will have leds by 2008 or 2009 the latest.)

1/2 Cycle
Yes, I meant mid-cycle as in the whole fifth generation, not mid-cycle as in the 2007 model year. I don't think any manufacturer would change anything mid-cycle, unless it's a total failure or recall of a part.
As for waiting 2-3 years, I'm fine with that. None of my existing cars are going to die any time soon that I'll need the ES350 urgently. I'll let the current craze and buying frenzy settle down and go in on my terms and deal 'smartly' when the time comes.
Also, two years will give Lexus time to smooth out all the small details and 'faults' that the car might have during it's first few years. By 2010 model year, the car should then be PERFECT...

Tail lamps are not, third brake light and plate bulbs seem to be though.
the tail lamps bulbs are easily acessable in the trunk
LED's seems all nice, but I think the separate ECU running the engine and transmission is a fair trade of an upgrade instead of "cool guy" tail lamps-
Holla!
