Hello ! New to the forum but not to Lexus products. My wife is the real owner and driver of the ES 350. I'll get to drive it when it is dirty and or needs service. Other than that I ride in the passenger seat. We had a 2003 EX 300 before. Sept. 17, 2012 my wife on her way into work at 6:30 am. Just outside of Jaclsonville Fl. she was hit almost head on by a Ford Expedition at 70 mph plus. How we know this, a Florida State Trooper was following my wife and had his dash camera on. If wasn't for the fact my wife was driving a Lexus, she would not have made it. The design of the car worked perfectly, all the crumple zone's worked. And AIR BAGs there where air bags I didn't know about. I'll post pictures one of these days.

So it took a while too get stuff back together and replace her much loved Lexus. This one is really nice, well maintained. 55K, all the toys. Will live in the garage to protect it from the hot florida sun.
I'm retired because of a motorcycle accident in 2006. Looking forward to reading what has been posted and post a bit here and there.

Hi all.

I am from Middle east and a fan of Lexus.
I am planning to buy a used es 350 , 2008 Black , Full opt with navigation.

Only concern I have is about what i read about the transmission flare or slipping.
Has there been a cure to this problem or its still there to these Es's. ?

Help me as i cannot make up my mind on whether to purchase an Es or go away from it.

Welcome to CL. It seems like the transmission flare issue was primarily with 2007 ES350's. Later on, reports of it seemed to drop off. It didn't appear to cause any long term reliability issues with the transmission.

Just purchased Black 2011 ES350 with dark interior. It has navigation and parking assist. Has only 18k miles. It is in the shop right now, needs many front end parts as I purchased it from insurance auto auction. Currently ordering parts for it. Could use some help while restoring the car.

Hello everyone. Just purchased me my first Lexus. It's a black 2011 Lexus ES350. Black leather interior, Bluetooth, sunroof, base model. It looks really plain. I kinda want to do something to it to make it stand out. So I want to purchase some new wheels on it. Trying to figure out the rim & tire size without messing my car up. Help please!' ;-)

It looks like there are a lot of new ES owners. I am also a new owner. I picked up a CPO 2008 with no nav. 69000 on the ODO. Im getting the windows tinted next week because I really can't stand the windows not being tinted. Any recommendations for purchasing a trunk lip spoiler? I could go ebay but Im always leary about car stuff on there. Otherwise, there isn't much I plan on doing. Eventually I may do a double din HU and speaker upgrade. I read RobertJ's thread and he did a great job with his. I wish there were better options for dash kits but that is kind of how the market goes for certain vehicles. I sold a 2013 Focus ST so this is a different animal from what I had.

Purchased car on 5/10/14

I just bought an 07 ES 350 at the dealership, paid cash and I've been enjoying it ever since, now my wife has taken it from me. The exterior is Tungsten Pearl, interior is grey. Not sure about the option package but it has navigation. I was driving a 2002 Honda Accord EX and my wife has a 2010 RX 350.

Been living in the First Generation RX forum since June of last year with the purchase of my first Lexus (2000 RX300 with 144,000), and I've since fallen hard for the brand!

Just today, I closed a deal for a CPO 2010 (base, no NAV) in Truffle Mica/Black with only 24000 miles! Couldn't believe just how quiet it was inside on the test drive. Got a great price, and the dealership agreed to do some cosmetic work on the exterior scratches/scuffs. Picking it up on Thursday. Props to Metro Lexus in Cleveland!

Said goodbye to my trusty 2004 Honda Pilot EX with 142,000 on the clock. She had a good run, but it's time to move on.

Anyone replaced the driver side air mix servo motor on an ES 350?

I am suspecting its the servo motor, here is the symptom. On a hot day with ac running, driver side vent is blowing warm air while the passenger side is blowing ice cold air.

I've read other threads on CL and it is in line with other posters problems however on GS or an RX without the chirping noise.

I've found the lexus part number it is 87106-33270, they go for $200 at the dealership in Alex Va

This part number also exist for Toyotas. Can anyone confirm that If I get this part number from the Toyota dealer for $50 less, or from an on line dealer for $80 dollars less, it is the same part?.
