New guy looking at the '07 ES!!
Hey people....I'm new here.....been checking the forum for ES information for sometime now and decided to join. Currently I have a MB lease which I HATE....thankfully I can turn it in in August.
I helped my parents buy a '05 ES last year, and I'm looking at possibly getting a '07 ES when my current lease is up. I like the IS, but it seems too small, especially now that we have a newborn. The GS is nice too, and I'll have to look into it considering a loaded ES is basically the same price......

I'm new also and seriously looking at the ES350. It's time to move on from my 2003 G35 and don't want to wait through another winter for the 2007 G35. A few more pictures like these and I might put something down before the May 3rd debut at my local Lexus dealer.

Yeah, once the GS350 comes out I'd have a hard time buying a loaded ES350 for the same price as the 'basic' GS350 starts at. Granted the ES would have all sorts of bells and whistles and the GS would just have the basics for a luxury car, but I guess I'm just more interested in what's at the core of a car than the bells and whistles.
Much the same reason why I'd rather have a basic no option ES instead of a fully loaded Camry, and in that case they are on the same platform! In the case of the ES and GS the GS is on a much more substantial platform (IMO).

I completely agree with your theory, Threxx.
But so much is subjective - and after a lot of looking around we decided that we just preferred the ES to the GS. At the same price for the two cars I would get the ES given a choice.
Of course we haven't had a chance to test drive the ES 350 and once we do we may feel very differently but it sure LOOKS nice in all these pictures.

9mm, I say go for it. The ES is a great car. I have a 1996 ES 300 and I have over 253K miles and it runs great. I'm thinking of selling my '96 ES 300 and buying the '07 ES 350. First I need a truck and the next generation Tundra is on my list. I'll need to see the new ES in person and maybe I'll fall in love.
