Default Fuel Door Release Switch

97 ES300 Fuel Door Release switch does not open Door. I open it manually through the trunk manual release. how do I change that door solenoid?

on the lexus cd changer (inside the glovebox) has a button on the left for the trunk release, if u press it in, u can push the trunk release and itll work, when pushed again, the trunk release doesnt work, maybe try that before buying a new solenoid for the trunk

first check your fuses. Pull and reseat the fuel door fuse.
on my '02 it is a 5 amp fuse in positiuon #58, called FUEL OPEN.

can anyone tell me where the fuse box is located... I have looked and cannot find it..sigh

The fuse block is locate behind the coin holder. Try to push on the fuel release switch and make sure you here the solenoid clicking. Sometime the fuel door spring is broken and it won't release the fuel door.
