Smile Aftermarket radio install tip

Hey just wanted to give you guys a tip when installing a radio to keep your steering wheel control "trip"button. On my 2005 es330 it was the plug with a black with a red tracer. I did a tap from a ground to that wire and my button works again. Let me know if this helps anyone thank you😀😀😀

Are you talking about the button that changes between Fuel Range, MPG, MPH, etc...? Because if so, I'm very interested in what you're talking about as I just changed the stereo and realized I cannot change this setting any more. Could you give more identifying info on which plug you're talking about? Thanks!
