This is just me, but I like a bit of variety, and the GS definitely fits in that category, whereas the 5-spoke rims for the IS is the only one you'll see around (besides the new 11-spoke SportDesign model). IS rims still look nice on the ES...

IS rims, and I only say this because that is what I have. If you want pics let me know?

The GS rims look very similar though. I'd say whatever you like best and can get a fair price on.

Good luck!

Thanks!

All stock except for the rims and tires which were taken directly off an IS300, no adapters, etc. I did use the IS300 lug nuts though, the stock ES300 lugnuts stuck out way to far.

I'll be posting another picture from the side in a minute.

My 1996 ES300 with IS300 rims, side view...I think it would look better with about a 1½ drop.

I would think that dropping the car would destroy some of the ride quality, such as bottoming out on bumps. Years ago I did this on some large Cadillacs that I owned and I was somewhat disappointed because of this bottoming out thing.

i have gs wheels on my coupe.although the rims look very similiar to the is rim,i think the is rim is more suitable for the es..i've seen both rims on the es and the is rim has more of an "egde" to it on this car.
