Default Ticking noise?

Recently, my ES has started making ticking noises after I shut off the engine. Is this normal? I looked on the SC forums, and it seems like this normal for their cars, but for the ES? Any thoughts/advice? Thanks.

This may sound dumb, but, I have ticking after the car is stopped and
it's the engine and other components cooling. 92 ES
It is more pronounced then any other car I have owned.

That's the exhaust, piping, catalytic converter and etc cooling off. Because of the heat...metal expands. As it cools off, it makes that ticking noise. No need to be alarmed.

Hmm, now that you mention it....

Thanks for all the responses. I just thought it was weird that the ticking just started recently as opposed to happening right from the start.
