2nd Gen ES300 CA spec exhaust questions
So one of my exhaust gaskets started leaking between the front exhaust manifold, and the downpipe and I was trying to service the gasket, but the bolt head broke off clean
I didn't have an inverse torx socket so I used a breaker bar and a 14mm 1/2 socket with an impact gun, and the thing just snapped
Now I have a even bigger exhaust leak, and a potentially expensive repair
The car is from NY but for some reason it is a CA spec, I think it would be cheaper to just grab the front exhaust manifold/downpipe section as one piece from the junkyard but i'm having some trouble taking off and recognize a few components
I know lexus uses those donut style gaskets, but does anyone know where the cats connect to the pipe and or what would be the best way to tackle this situation?
