2001 Lexus es300 with base 2000 trim??!?
On Craigslist I saw a 2001 base Lexus es300 with no wood grain steering wheel, and the darker trim wood on the dash. Is that possible? Or is the dealership and car fax lying?

very possible... the wood-grain wasn't standard on these cars.
Everything was optioned, HID's, woodgrain, coach edition, luggage, nakamichi or pioneer.
I've seen many super-base models, leather no woodgrain wheel and no HID's.
There was also the option to GET cloth interior... a few members on here had them over the years.
