here's my advice. Get it towed to your house. Find another mechanic some distance away, tell him everything, and let him have a go at it.

It has been a very interesting day,

Took it to a separate mechanic who has had very high ratings and reviews and was also recommended by friends. He took his time diagnosing it and upon initial inspection had 7 different codes pop up. 2 for ignition coils, 2 for the same OCV valve I had just changed through previous tech and Random Misfire Codes. He came back today with a suggestion to change the timing belt, tensioner and water pump. He told me that he took the car apart and the timing was off and that if it was his car he would move forward with this before even considering a new motor. I double checked with a friend who told me that this guy wouldn't stake his reputation and the trouble of potentially charging me 800$ for nothing. He seemed confident enough that the mechanic was recommending the right job. Quote was for approx. 800$ inclusive with labour and everything.

P.S : you guys think the other garage stole my ignition coils? car was there for two days

Thoughts?

Sounds like a legit mechanic, his theory of the timing belt timing being off is a sound one. If the timing cover is still off, he should be able to show you the timing marks being off. $800 is in the ballpark for the labor and parts.

As far as the other garage, there is no reason why they would steal your coils. Possible, but unlikely.

Coil codes can be caused by simply not plugging them in or not tightening the correlating ground on the intake manifold. It is possible, that the first garage, did a half fast job of reassembling before you picked it up.

good luck. i hope timing job fixes your root problems
