Default 96 ES300 Key Question

I've tried to find a few threads on the topic but my problem is the top key is my (Master) key with a broken but I was wondering if the one below I found at the junkyard would be a good donor to swap my "guts over". Programming? anything?

Put the good shell onto your key, no issues.

You can reprogram the keys. I used to have the way to do it, it involves putting the new key in the ignition then locking/unlocking doors manually etc. Then it should work. Not very descriptive, sorry. lol

I know this is an old thread, but I just want to bump it for new viewers.

The one button lock/unlock remote key for 90-96 ES cannot be reprogrammed to the car. You would need the accompanying ROM chip in the receiver module. 97+ ES can have remotes reprogrammed.
