Last week I noticed the driver's window shuddered as it was going the last 1/3 the way up - as if it were fighting against the seal (glass run). 2002 ES.

Today I lubed the window run with Sil-Glyde. It helped a little bit, but not much. I put the glass 1/2 way up and then grabbed it and I could easily move it up/down about 1/2" and fore-aft a little less than that. Is that normal? After moving it around, it worked smoothly a few times, then went back to the shuddering as it closed the top 1/3 or so. It does not seem the motor is weak.

Is the glass perhaps loose in the guide and thus dragging in the run? Or is this a sign of something failing?
