Fuel Injector gas leak
Help I have a 2000 Es 300 and changed the knock sensors and the wiring harness in there as well. Now I have a fuel leak. I removed the fuel injectors and re installed them and I started leaking fuel. So I went to lexus and purchased the new fuel injector o rings and grommets etc. I received a picture from Lexus and his parts diagram shows a bottom o ring and right above that is a sealing grommet that seats it into the manifold. Above that is a small grommet that seals the injector into the fuel rail. I had an o ring on the very top of the injector and lexus is stating there is not an o ring there? Should there be one at the top of the injector or not.
Now it appears that I have a fuel leak coming out of the middle of the fuel injector by the clear part, what does that mean? is the injector shot? Let me know I appreciate your help!

The way a fuel injector is constructed means it's nearly impossible for it to 'leak in the middle'. So, that statement is pretty confusing to me since the middle is stainless steel and not 'clear'. But to answer your question, yes there are o-rings at the top and the bottom. The high pressure fuel is at the top so it _will_ be one or more 'top' o rings which are leaking.
Can I suggest you purchase aftermarket 'viton' o-rings, they are a must better product than what lexus supply.

Just so I have this down, I ordered the Viton o rings that will arrive on Monday the top small fuel injector grommet sits flush on top where the fuel rail meet with the o ring on top of the injector right? I assume that by not having the top o ring on there because Lexus parts said that there was not one on top should solve my fuel leak here. Let me know and I appreciate the help!
