Hi all,

So I have a 2000 ES300 and today all of a sudden the stereo is acting up. It keeps cutting in and out throughout the whole car. It gets worse when you turn the volume up or if bass hits. It happens on the FM as well as the CD. Anyone know what this could be?

I had the same problem. It was a defected battery.

As in the actual car battery?

The power to the stereo doesn't seem to be cutting out just the sound.

Try playing the Radio only one speaker at a time. Adjust your Fade and Balance controls to achieve that.

See if that makes a difference. this may help you pinpoint a defective speaker circuit.

Honestly, I'm not sure, but Its worth a try. At least you don't have to take anything apart to try it.
