Only reason I ask is because after the car gets jumped, the lights flicker and it's almost as if it's not getting enough power. I'm going to change that out hopefully this week and let you know what I find

Still doesn't seem to be related. What exactly are you going to change out?

Is there more to this, that may be useful? For example, did you do any recent work to your car, or did you install any new electrical components?

Haven't done anything at all. I just bought about 3 weeks ago and it's been sitting in my driveway until I can get up the money to do all the work. I've been starting it every few days so it's not just sitting, but then the other day it wouldn't start. Gave it a jump and that worked. My partner suspects the alternator only because once we jumped it, the car would start and drive hut when you park it or stop moving, the lights start flickering and the car seems as if it's gonna shut off.. Then I decided to see if the accessory ports worked and noticed the cigarette lighter one didn't do anything.

Bring yur car to the nearest AutoZone, They will check your battery, and charging sytem free of charge.

Once you identify and fix that problem, you can always deal with the lighter socket next.

sometimes when you jump start a car, the battery is so flat that the engine is barely keeping the car running. It can take 30 minutes for the battery to charge up, and the supply of power to be more stable throughout the electrical system. This is really only the case if your cars lights were left on all day, or the car was left sitting for quite some time. ....

... if a battery was so low it was around say 2-6 volts, under 100amps.
