I have a Lexus ES 330. My car alarm went off frequently that kills my battery.
It went off without a reason =( I ha e to wake up manytimes at night to hit the open key to turn off the alarm. Anyone knows why does this happen?? Car key problem or the door problem?

Does the alarm only go off at night? If so, then someone is trying to break into your car.

If the alarm goes off throughout the day/night, then you might have electrical issue.

Check your door switch. Likely the driver's side since that gets used more.

If it only happens at night it could be the cold causing contacts to contract and complete the circuit.

Did you find the reason your es330 2005 Lexus kept alarming in the cold? We are having the same problem and so far no one has been able to help us. Did you change the switch on the driver's door and if you did.... did it stop the car from alarming in the cold? Anything you can tell us will be appreciated. Cannot use the car with this problem. If you changed a switch, which one was it? Thanks

My 99 ES has an alarm that goes off if I try to open the car from driver side. It didn't do that when I first got it but after about two weeks it started doing it. If the alarm goes off I have to go over to the passenger side and use the key in the door and that ****s the alarm off. I'm taking it to an auto locksmith this week to order a new remote and key since all I have is the key currently. Maybe he can give me some insight as to why this is happening.
