Default --Idle Air Control Valve diy?

is there a diy? i'm having issues with mine in the mornings and it;s getting worst... i've had it cleaned twice previously by a shop though

How do you know it's the valve?

cause i've been through this 2 times before, the symptoms are the same....cold start the car dies unless i give it gas and it's fine once it's warm and it drive off

Here is the best and most effective method at cleaning the IACV, I found a good video to explain the process in detail. Be warned that you may end up stripping the screws out, so get a nice fitting screw driver with a T Handle, to give you better control.

Skip to 2:30 to see how the cleaning is performed.

Thank you. Since I've had this issue at least 3 times now I'm just taking out the intake and spraying with the unit Still On the car...probably just buy a idle control unit in a few months...I've had the es for a long time and its been good to me but with a 1 year old I need more room. Thinking of a rx350 but will be keeping the es as a spare car

No need to replace the valve, this cleaning will make it perform like new.
