Rattle under front valve cover
Ok so need some opinions. So I just did the valve cover gaskets. Great tutorial, now there is a rattle underneath the front valve cover? I was careful and didn't get anything in there, just not sure why it would rattle now when it didn't before. I torqued to 6 ft/lb. used 5/16 washers on the bolts, so the valve cover couldn't be hitting the cam could it?
Thanks in advance,

Well, if it's the front that's easy-peasy to open it and make sure you didn't leave anything behind.
If you don't want to do that, a) re-check all torque values and if still present, then b) get a stethoscope and listen to make sure it is indeed inside there; could be transmitted noise from elsewhere. The thing that "rattles" inside that causes problems is the VVT-i gear. Is your car so equipped?

Looks like forgot to mention its a 2000 es 300, the rattle seems to have went away driving it this morning, so the rattling is the CVVT?
Thanks again
