Need help removing rear hub 2003 es300
I have the rotor off and then removed the 4 bolts holding the hub in place. Then when I pulled the hub out the entire emergency brake and dust cover came with it. The brake line is attached to the piece I pulled off.
How do I separate the hub so I can replace just the hub assembly?

It's probably just rusted on. Put the backplate/hub back on the car with the 4 bolts loose. Hit the hub with a hammer and it should separate. If it's really rusted on then it can be a real pain I've had to torch the parts before they came apart.

First remove the brake cable but be careful the bolts love to seize up in the aluminum and break. Here's what the hub looks like removed it will give you an idea where to apply the heat.

Thank you. That picture of the rear view shows the center cap off. I didn't think that came off but that could be due to all the rust. I doubt prying that off would make a difference until I need to put it on the new one. I hit it with penetrating oil again and had to reassemble in order to run an errand. Back to it later. Thanks for your help.
