That's how it looks inside my lit parking garaget. Looks much better at night, but I don't have a night shot.

In this [dusk] picture you can see the closeness to the new Lexus "dimness", the LED's they use are not the brightest on the market, but a clean look which is all I was ever after; at night it was visible and WHITE like the new cars.

i ordered these yesterday on the hunt for good, bright yellow fog lights now!

I'm a fan of the Philips 194 LED bulbs - Very good light distribution, color, and reliable.

If you want a VERY close second, I ran this one for years myself before changing it up.

Now you have to decide, get the 5smd which is the brighter of the two, making your tags more noticeable, or the slightly [barely] dimmer ones.
Hey man can you help me out! I ordered the first link you posted up, 168 194 w5w 5 power led (warm white). Are these the dimmer of the two? Because you said the 5smd is the brighter of the two. Well my SKU is T10-5smdww.....I wanted the dim ones!

I dont know if I received different bulbs or what. I ordered the first set of bulbs that 01lexpl posted and they don't look white at all. they're a bright stock, yellow looking. on top of that one of the bulbs is flickering. of course the seller hasn't returned my e-mail. so im still on the hunt for some dim, white LED's such as the first picture in 01lexpl's post

this is a good example of what I want. I cant find the model that caymandive said they are but they are the ones on the RIGHT

The dimmer bulbs I use on our Prius as well as our Sienna are WLED-NW5 Natural White which I ordered from Superbrightleds.com.

This IS strange, which got me to thinking:

Some of us want LED lighting making plates easier to see
Some of us put smoked-plastic covers over the plates making them harder to see.
I want to know if any of us has BOTH a smoked cover AND the LEDs ......

and, if so, an explanation for that.

i had smoked covers on, i loved the look, kinda made the plates blend into the car, i did get pulled over once by a cop. he gave me a warning, saying its hard to read the # for the cops and that i should take them off. i did. i am not making it easy now for them to see my # with these bright LED's.

why advertise your license plate number?
