Hi...I've just inherited a 2002 ES 300 from my late father - he bought it brand new & put all of 45K miles on it, so it looks & drives like new. Just one thing that I'm not sure about is that the steering wheel doesn't lock when you remove the ignition key. Since the ignition is on the dash & not on the steering column, I'm assuming that the lock is electronic?

So my questions are (a) does the ES 300 have a locking wheel, and (b) if so, what possible causes might be preventing the lock from working?
