Default Tailgater Retaliation

Just for fun, I rigged up a Tailgater Deterrent System to my Solara.

I thought I'd share this with you all, let me know what you think:

That was funny. I would definitely keep it to just washer fluid, you don't want to get yourself into a lawsuit with the other person's insurance company, when they file for property damage.

Very creative love it! But I too would worry about the legal aspect not to mention some people might take things to the next level and get violent, sometimes using their car as the weapon.

Retarded.

Baby oil? Brake fluid? You're in for a world of hurt. You're the one liable for damages etc. and potential to cause an accident if police are involved... last I checked Toronto cops aren't exactly the nicest people either.

If you did that to my car, I would find out where you live and definitely seek justice. Just saying.

I think he was joking about the brake fluid and baby oil.

Cool in theory, but I wouldn't dare use that.

If you cause an accident (or death), you can be charged.

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback. As I mentioned in the beginning, this was a "just for fun" project and I don't really intend on using it on the road (the spray is aimed so low, the guy has to be tail-gating within 5-6 feet to get sprayed). I understand the legal implications that you bring forth. Tailgating isn't a huge problem where I drive, as I generally keep up with the flow of traffic.

It was also an opportunity for me to get to learn some video editing software (VideoPad), and make a little chase scene skit. I like cinematography and cars and I want to pursue it further by combining these two hobbies and make videos.

I've heard that if you run your windshield wipers continuously, it will also splatter onto a tailgater. I personally wouldn't suggest that you do any of these things, as you could actually get shot and killed by some of the crazies on the road these days.
