i'm pretty sure its one of those markers for old people to see wehre the front of their car ends when parking in tight spaces. my mom's old s class benz had those pop up on the corners of her trunk when she was going in reverse to help with seeing where the car stops to assist in tight space parking and what not.

great photos, it's nice to see some people doing work to the new ES's

edit: quoted the wrong person...doh

I think it's an antennae. Reason being it's in Japan (Asia), and they are crazy like that, second if you look closely in pic 1 it's up. In pic 2 it's retracted. The Windom's don't come from the factory like that. I dunno I could be wrong, go figure...

Yeah, too bad the US market hasn't figured this out.

MCV20, thanks for all the pics, even though I wasn't patient enough to wait for all of them to load on my slow connection, still cool to see what I did.

MCV20, where you recently in the Land of the Rising Sun?

I am hoping to go there soon.

OK, picture number 4, front shot of a black 02-03 ES with the chrome wheels. Any idea as to what brand. I think I just found the style that I like best (so far). I am so fickle.

Also, that same car has some rain gutter shields that are very close to the window. Any idea to brand, (ie Vent-guard).

as for the pictures.........Absolutely totally awesome.

sorry for the misunderstanding MCV20, I thought you had taken the pictures on a trip to Japan. I know from the user name area that you are north of the border. I like to travel there, too. (I'll be in
Montreal this July)

The 42 and 35 are offset numbers I take it? Wheels are new to me, I have never put a set on that didn't come with the car.

I will check out RAYS. thanks again.
