98 Es300 Line out converter
I have a 98 es300 and I'm looking to put in an aftermarket amp and subwoofer in the trunk. I do not want to go through taking out the factory amp. I did disconnect the factory sub tho. So my question is is it alright to connect a line out converter for the new amp to the wires for the factory sub? I'm not sure because I know those factory sub wires would still be getting signal from the the factory amp, but then again all the speakers would. So what should I do? Don't wanna fry anything. Thanks.

Not sure if you can do it that way. But here's the way I did it. I spliced the line out converter to the front / left positive negative cords on the amp. The amp is pretty easy to get to. It's underneath the glove box. Hooked up 2 12's with 1,000 watt amp and it sounded great. I'm on my phone right now or else I would give you a link to the wiring diagram. It's not too hard to find. Good luck
Oh yea, you don't have to take out the factory amp. You just need to access it.
